AFROBEAT MUSIC
Davido- Aye
This is a combination video of narrative and performance.
This song is all about love and commitment. A man who is in love with a woman and he would do anything to get her. I wanted to play around with the idea of love and that is why me and my group are doing an indie genre, almost subverting the idea of love into something 'unrealistic'. This is because the little girl finds love in a teddy bear, which is not alive but she treats it asthough it is alive.
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MUSIC AND VISUALS

SCROLL DOWN

At the beginningof the video, a joyful melody plays in the background as the male narrative is singing. The joyful melody connotes the tone of the music, as been very dancy.
The sound of the birds chirping birds at the beginning connote happiness in nature, and as you can see at the beginning of the of the video it starts of in a forest with lots of green area. Chirping birds are also symbolise bringing great joy to people. The lightening used in video are very soft and green like which could be insinuating that the relationship between the two protagonists is going to be positive and pure.
This is the way to show the audience that narrative of the video and where the protagonist relationship is going to end.
When the music starts it is very upbeat and striaght away joyful. Which then cuts to a close up of the protagnoist (Davdio) smiling, dancing and singing along to the music. This matches the playful and lively melody of the song. His dancing could represent the playful side of thier relationship.
